How many subjective questions in interviews like operating system questions? How many design pattern questions for software developer with 3 yoe ? Apple/ MS/ Amazon/ google/ Facebook/ Uber/.....
These kind of questions called subjective in geeksforgeeks By the way I mean not DS/algorithms coding question.
For what I experienced, 0 "subjective", 1 system design in every loop
I ask CS fundamentals questions sometimes to see how deep their understanding actually is. Just keep quizzing until they don’t know the answer. Also have a similar set of questions for networking and systems level scenarios. Other times I present a real systems level problem from a past live site issue and see how well they can root cause it. Essentially, you’ll get one of these style of questions for about 5 minutes before we move onto design/coding questions. I never just ask leetcode questions.
