What’s the standard vacation day policy at your company? Were you able to negotiate it? I thought they’re usually negotiable but I hear that Google only gives 15 days for the first three years. Is Facebook the same or more? At Intuit it was 2 weeks for the first year and then 3 weeks after the second year. I wish I’d negotiated my vacation leave to be 3 weeks from the get go like a few others had.
21 + 11 holidays. No negotiations
Everyone gets 21 days? Pretty solid
15 days (goes up to 20 after 10 years) + 6 holidays and 5-6 personal choice/holidays + ~11 sick days (used to be unlimited) at IBM.
There used to be an additional tier of 25 days after 20 years. I know a bunch of people grandfathered into that one.
Didn’t mean to imply that 20 was max. That’s just all that I’m personally aware of. None of the IBMers I know that are at 20+ years take that much time off but even if they did they are all execs and no one is counting their days.
15 days sick leave, 22 vacation days , 13 or 14 federal holidays, 4 personal days per year. On top of this you get spring break and days off from Christmas to new years. This is at a public university.
Unlimited
6 weeks Vaca 13 days Holiday 10 sick days New hires are limited to 4 weeks Vaca.
Weird how you get more sick than vacation
Why is that weird? What if he has some sort of freak accident?
Lol 12 at Apple for the first 2 years. After that it goes up by one or two every year till year 9. Max is 21 days (not including roll)
unlimited
12 paid holidays 25 vacation days (after 12 years) 10 sick days (rarely used for me) Mildly curious if I could negotiate this good at another company?
I have 20 vacation days. I didn't negotiate more. Most of the places where I worked, PTO days were effectively set in stone by policy and were non-negotiable.
20 days is pretty great to start with
