Microsoft already has all the connections with enterprises. The tech doesn’t matter as much as a two decade head start building relationships.

Want more evidence — that’s why Oracle still exists.

Oracle db is a joke. Existing clientele and fear of change is the only reason they still move forward

  • When Google+ will surpass Facebook, we can come back and discuss this...

    But wait....

    Google+ is already closed...

    Hmmm....

All the technology that Google has couldn't help Google+ to even come closer to FB..

Microsoft has invested a lot of time in Azure... It's not that easy unless GCP becomes primary business of Google

  • GCP interface looks like a something which developers want to use for debugging purpose. They need better marketing and change that UI .

  • Time to market is important. That is why AWS is so big and now Microsoft has benefited from Amazon’s buying of Whole Foods. There is too much gap to chase. Usually market allows two big competitors with a few niche businesses. Think of Coke vs Pepsi, Microsoft vs Apple in PC, Android vs iOS. There are exceptions of course. Based on what I am hearing, Google had a bad leader (Diane Greene) and hired her successor with equally bad track record and character. He will soon fill up the leadership with Indian buddies and GCP won’t be in competition any more.
