im a recent graduate with my master’s in marketing and have over seven years of experience working in digital marketing. am I asking too much if I’m aiming for a salary of at least $75k a year?
Price yourself however you want. It’s all about perceived value. Price yourself as a 99 Cent Store item, you will attract shitty cheap companies or clients. Price yourself like a Chanel bag, you’ll attract higher quality clients that can afford to pay high rates.
You’re worth much more than what you’re asking.
Guess it really depends on where you live - in NYC that would land you well into six figures at most places
No. You aren't asking too much
Wow. I make 90k in sf and I only have 1 year of marketing background. Never be afraid to ask for more!!
Depends where in marketing. Product marketing should be at least double that
I have seven years experience in digital marketing, mainly in agencies on the account side, currently making $85K in Denver, asking for $95K in Chicago
I make 65k in upstate NY, so no you are certainly not asking too much. You should ask for more. I have about 5 YOE and working on my IMC masters degree.
Why did you get master’s? How much did you pay for it? Where is the masters from? Where do you live?
