Does anybody know the real price tag of Heptio acquisition by VMware? Hearing rumors of 600M - did they pay that for 2 yr old startup that does professional services?
Look at their last series of funding.. extrapolating what series D/E funding goes for you'd arrive at ~300M. Not bad
300m seems low. A source familiar with the deal pegged the price as “significantly more” than the $250 million that Red Hat paid for CoreOS in January, but declined to comment further.
I didn't accept heptio offer. Really curious about acquisition price to calculate if I made bad financial decision or not.
320M, I know an ex manager who is there
There’s way more to Heptio than professional services, just not public
I’d be surprised if there were no competitive bids! Btw, welcome to VMWare!!
Thanks! I’m really excited!
Is heptio going to merge with pks?
So, what were they building?
