I’m living in Europe and spent 50-70% of my salary to rent apartment in the city center, buy food in the best grocery, visiting a good restaurant a few times per week, goining to the gym with personal trainer, don’t have a car, uber here cost like public transfer in SF (2-4$ for 10-20mins ride 💁🏻♂️) and in general don’t think a lot of about money. Travelling each two months to other Europe spots What the equivalent for San Fransisco salary for the same level of life? #sanfrancisco
... 300k ...
Monthlies: $4,000 - downtown one bedroom $400 - Whole Foods per month $600 - three, fifty dollar meals a week $100 - avg gym monthly cost $400 - personal trainer weekly $360 - 20 Ubers @$18 per ride $250 - half a domestic flight per month $675 - three, three star hotel nights in major US city per month $500 - random additional vacation costs per month (e.g. Ubers to airport, entertainment, Napa) TOTAL: $7,285 / month If half of your after tax income, then AFTER TAX INCOME: $14,570 If 35% effective tax rate, then PRE TAX INCOME: $22,415 ANNUAL PRE TAX INCOME: 269K
If you don't want to have to worry about money in SF, get at least 300k
Depends where you want to live tbh.... but if both of you share expenses and live together, then I’d say above 150k, maybe 200k minimum
Best district and new fancy building with 1-2 bedrooms. I think it will cost $4-5k that will be half of the salary, lol $150k after 35% tax rate doesn’t sounds as fare estimation for high level of the life for two people.
A two bedroom at mid market was asking $6-8k and those were not fancy. Better earn $400k+ to live that comfortably
