How soon is too soon for switching companies?

This is just a general question. I'm 27, working as a consultant in cloud infra and DevOps. I just joined Amazon 2 months ago after working at MSFT for 4 years. Main reasons for switching were higher pay and career growth due to creation of HQ2. Now HQ2 has been cancelled so that was a big bummer. At the same time while pay is great, job is pretty much equal to what I was doing at MSFT and definitely don't plan to stay doing the same job that much longer. Been considering other areas like Technical Program Management, Product Management, Partner Engineering or SRE. Now Google has always been a dream place to work for and there are some stuff I feel I could be good for and, would be new areas for me to explore. My question is how long should I stay at my current place before even attempting to look at other places? By all means I like Amazon but not sure if I'm a 100% sold on their culture. There's a lot of stuff that I didn't know about till I started working here that I don't precisely agree with. Also, aside of ramping up on AWS, the job is the same to what I was doing before so it's not like I would lose a lot by switching but not trying to burn bridges or plain fuck up lol By all means this is just a thought. Just wondering.

if you switch quickly at one company, it is fine. if you switched quickly over and over, then it would be a red flag.

I graduated college in 2015. While I worked at 4 different companies through various long internships / contractor jobs while at school, Microsoft was I guess my first true real post graduation job. I spent almost 4 years with them and during those years I obtained my M.S. degree. I did attempt to switch to Google before but after 9 interviews and 4 months process, got rejected due to headcount ☹. I left that at that. Now jumped ships to Amazon. I like it but thus far but not love it. Would like to attempt a shot at Google again but not sure when. Funny enough, for the past 2 months at Amazon I've also been learning GCP on the side :P

I can share it but why is that important? Curious here.

Are you new to Blind? :)) It doesn't matter if it's relevant or not, TC is a must. "Why is the Coke can red? tc: $500k, yoe: 1/2"
