I'm trying to start studying for interviews and I feel so overwhelmed. Even some leetcode easys are challenging for me.. am I the only one? I bought Cracking the coding interview and plan to thoroughly study it, but there are no test cases? Wtf? Also, is there like a leetcode study plan that goes well with CTCI? Or does something like this doesn't exist? TC: < 90k What kind of TC can I expect to be average with 1-2 years of experience as a software developer?
What doesn't make sense? I want to become a rich tech bro with 300k TC. I'm studying and it just seems overwhelming.
Wtf
What are you studying? Did you have any knowledge before jumping into college or did you just do it because it sounded cool?
I have <2 yoe, TC 190k. Pretty normal I'd say, not super high or low.
What, read the last line
L4?
you can expect to safely increase your tc by ~50+% if you target the bay assuming you get to a level where you can solve some mediums and the popular hards
Focus on knowing and understanding, not just studying.
https://www.joshsteimle.com/influence/how-to-find-your-genius-zone.html Find your unique niche. Keep learning. Put 80% of your energy to that and no more than 20% to learn new things outside of that zone. You won't make it to the top by being "a software developer already".
No thanks last thing we need is another tech bro
What do you mean there’s no test cases? What?
Like in leetcode, I can click submit and it will run my code against dozens of test cases. I was expecting the same from the publisher or a website that wants to make money
If getting rich is your only purpose, the chances are slim. If you’re enjoying the tech and feel good doing it you have a chance to grow to a TC that’s a dream right now.
I never understood this sentiment of learning to code to get rich. This is new. Historically programmers used to be penniless geeks living with their parents or living on unemployment checks. Some still do. If what you care about money why not go to law school or med school? Lawyers make more money than devs. Doctors make more money, save lives and chicks love doctors. Why the fuck would anyone pick coding to get rich?
especially someone not attracted to it
Yeah this is definitely new to me too. I told my parents I wanted to be a programmer before college. They told me I wouldn't get rich or make much doing it and asked me if I was sure. It's what I liked doing and I mentally made sure I was ok with this. Nowadays I think people try for it because you can make a good amount with only a bachelor's right after college. I hope they end up liking the field in the end.
I just your headline with your question... it doesn't make any sense
True. OP labelling it "rich tech bro" means OP has bias against men in tech making high salaries. And looking to a recipe to become one in few months. Nice try OP but there is no such thing as tech bro. We just learn to work, and get along with people irrespective of our hormones. "How to become a rich tech bro?" - invalid question. You got it wrong.
