What would be your recommendation to get to Data Scientist position? Continue working or Masters after 2-3 years of work?

  • If you’re already an analyst - a masters is overkill for now. You can land any ds career if you work at it. Your experience is more than a degree unless you come from a top university.

I would do an online course while working and then apply those skills to your current job . I also think the easiest way of getting into DS is to do it from within the company. Go to whatever company you want as an analyst and then internally go into ds

You have a much bigger uphill battle with just an undergrad and DA work experience. Data Scientist isn't a natural progression from Data Analyst. They have a separate role for that, it's called a Senior Data Analyst.

You need to develop other skills if you want to transition from Analyst to scientist. Are you doing any regression analysis as part of your role?
