How to delay the offer if I have my bonus coming up in next month?

I have a offer from Uber which is good but isn't great enough to leave my this years bonus and stock grants (constitutes 25 percent of my annual salary) Any tips of how can I delay the offer? Is it fine with HRs and employers? Or can I ask for a signing bonus to compensate for that?

Negotiate with Uber. Say this is what you will lose and they should match it

Accept the offer and delay the start date.

Be open about this situation if they accept you delaying join date then fine else tell them to compensate for lost bonus in hard cash.

You don’t need to delay the offer. What you want to do is delay your start date. I normally give enough buffer so that I can take some time off before starting a new job.

Are you asking delay by one month? That should be easy. Just accept and tell them you can join only in June due to a pre-planned vacation.

Delay start date. If they push for sooner start date, tell them how much you are leaving on the table. That can give you a sign on bonus (unlikely unless amount is small) or let you start later. It's a normal thing.
