How to entice tech company recruiters?

Been applying to tech companies - tier 1 & 2 for past few weeks, but no luck. I get daily recruiting emails from other non-tech companies, but I’m not that interested even if position level and salary are higher. Did get AWS recruiting emails as well, but rather not pursue. Would be interested in other Amazon departments though. What can I do to make myself more marketable and become enticing to these top tech companies’ recruiters like FAANG? Looking for SWE, Sr. Software Architect, or Principal SWE role. Appreciate any comments in advance. TC 180 YOE 16 (with gaps)

Dude beggars are not choosers, nothing would launch your career more than spending a year at amazon.

Amazon gets a lot of flak on this forum, but this short term pain will be worth it. Plus you will have a great pip story for us in 6 months

Search for engineering managers of your target companies on Linkedin and go through their recent posts. When their team is hiring, they usually will create a post, so go through their recent posts. If you find a match, connect with them and drop them a message with your resume. This usually gives a high response rate for me

Good idea!

Recruiter here and I’ve worked for two FAANG companies. The first thing I would say to anyone is to pay close attention to what is listed under “Minimum Qualifications” or the like in the job decryption and make they line up with your background. Job descriptions with only 3-4 bullet points in this section are the best ones to target. It sounds like there’s more to unpack in your case though. Feel free to DM me. I don’t have anything at Microsoft at the moment but I’m happy to give you some pointers.
