Joined with new company on January 10. Onboarding is just finishing up and they’re about to get me interfacing with customers. Onsite company event on February 16.

Joining AWS in February 28. I’ve gotten various input throughout the process.

Should I put in my two weeks on the 14th and if they fire me they fire me? I don’t want to waste anymore of their time, and I have zero motivation to work. But I’m also frugal and don’t want to miss a paycheck.

Help please!

Because I had just started the process with Amazon, and had already signed and committed. Wasn’t going to back out because I got phone screen.

Been there. Just time your normal 2 weeks and go from there. Worst case you get a 2 week gap if they tell you not to finish. Best case it'll be the easiest 2 weeks of work ever.

Don't give two weeks if you are on visa.

  • What’s the point of giving 2 weeks? You have zero knowledge to transfer to anyone. If its about the extra 2 week paycheck, then just quit 2/25 the day of. You’re already going to burn the bridge anyways by quitting a month in, so why not do it with a bomb?

More about being as ethical as possible, I know I’m burning bridges and not even putting it on my resume.
