Iโve been slacking in planning for the savings, investments and long term retirement plans. What are some advises how I can get started? What are a few great books? How can I find a good financial advisor to talk to? Other resources? Thanks

Advice:
- Start saving ASAP, start by maxing employer match, then max the 401(k).
- Watch fees, stick with low cost index funds.
For a 401(k) you may be limited initially to funds your plan supports. But a lot of plans offer a self directed option that let you buy any stock or fund you want. Once you save up 50k or so that can be a good way to shave off a percent or two.
Also forgot to mention: Target date funds are awesome. They adjust the investment mix overtime so you don't need to.
