I have been a backend developer for 10+ years . OS level as well as backend services. I want to get some exposure to full stack development with starter projects etc. What is the best way to get started - some course on Coursera / Udemy etc.? YouTube videos ? Any other ideas ? I have coded in C/C++ only so far.
Vue
Lol no
Check out Andrew Mead on udemy as well as Maximilian Schwarzmüller, coursera also has an specialization on front end web development (full Stack), I’d recommend the one from Hong Kong university. You can ping me for more information as I’m working on my full stack development as well :)
Thanks, these courses look nice but the number of hours is too high for some of them
Well budy, nothing comes easy, and they’re teaching you all from the very basics and good practices with constant updates, you can choose to increase the speed of the videos if you like. Another option is tu purchase the course and then just follow the lessons that you’re interested in. You don’t have to follow the whole curriculum :)
Pick a word like MERN or MEAN and dive in. Suggested curriculum even though you know most of this stuff just to get into it from a different perspective(also because someone with no web dev skills might read this) : - HTML Css Javascript - Jquery, Ajax, APIs, and JSONs - firebase, node.js, MySQL - Express.js, handlebars.js - mongodb, react.js, angular.js, Java Something like that. One company that makes it kind of fun is "zenva"; they teach it from the perspective of indie game development.
React is amaze. Definitely pick it up.
Agreed! I’m using it and I love it :)
Which other part for fullstack frontend web, mobile or something else?
Mostly web
