I'm An AMTS at Salesforce. Which means a junior developer. I have roughly 2 years experience at a startup and am on a two-person team working on the frontend with an SMTS (Senior developer).

Can I expect to move up after a year? If I show stellar performance can my manager promote me sooner at his discretion?

Salesforce is not a place to keep lot of hope in this context, lately culture there observed lot of shift and politics. I had Salesforce offer while having other two offer but I dropped it and then my Salesforce interviewer also left I got to know from third person. Your best bet is Leetcode and jump.

    • No I also based it of your feedback. OP asked about succeeding in their current role and getting promoted. I don’t see how that was helpful.

You still did not get what I said, leave it, if you are so excited join the org, you will get helpful lesson and could be a lesson yourself. May be you will have last laugh or I will have last laugh, who knows? Till then you can hide your 1/intelligence to demean me without knowing where I stand.
