How to negotiate an offer with Google when recruiter come up with initial numbers?
Currently, in process of interviewing at google as Customer Engineer!
Heard people get upto 30% hike. Can you layout some steps of negotiation as a reference for the community as well!
Reference can be widely accepted but shouldn’t stick to Google.

2. Always have expectations on what you want be set ergo do your research and have a number in mind
3. If asked let them know your expectations and give your rationale
4. Never say yes to the first offer even if it exceeded your expectation. Always say thank you for the offer and that you need time to think it over.
5. Always negotiate over phone rather than email. Shows confidence.
6. Be willing to walk away. If you show desperation they know you have the upper hand.
7. Don’t be too greedy.
