How to not be triggered by people at work who have traits you have zero tolerance for ?

It’s easier to walk out or build wall when feeling with people on non negotiable boundaries in personal life , all you need is will power. But professionally you can’t always walk out or decide not to deal with them. So how do you handle dealing with such people who are embodiment of something or worse everything you hate or can’t stand in a human being.

Suck it up buttercup. At the end of the day you work for the same company and have the same goals. Either find something you have in common to balance things out, or learn some self control. If you can’t control your emotions, seek professional counseling.

You probably trigger people too, but they are respectful enough that they don't show it to you, do the same.

  • I once got this great advice from literally the worst manager ever: you need to lengthen the distance between your emotion and response. He was a daily emotional trigger (underminer/gaslighter/not technically competent) so I probably should have told him to FU but then you do find the universe is always trying to show you the right answer, you just have to be open enough to see it.
