So far I have done grokking the object oriented design interview course. Read a few articles on high scalability. Watched a few YouTube videos. Read a few AWS white papers. It was enough for Amazon L5 design round, What else should I cover for Google L5 design rounds?
You need to really nail data modeling and describe the pros and cons of design trade-offs. Be prepared to go into much more detail into different parts of the design components depending on where the interviewer wants to probe.
For mine the interviewer was really really focused on solving technical problems with relational database stuff, locking and paging, etc. I have a strong postgres background so I don't know if he was testing that or I just got lucky
You know level numbers aren't uniform across companies right? Amazon L5 = Google L4 because Amazon starts at L4, Google L3
I do, but that doesn't answer my question. Thanks anyway.
Think what's needed for Amazon L6 and add 50% more. Amazon stresses a lot on LP round, Google would be design. All the best
