I lived in UK from 2009 to 2016, I was on tier 2 visa from 2012 to 2016 working for Citi Belfast got zero offers during that period I desperately tried to change employer but never worked out you won't even get interviewed with tier 2 visa trust me also you can't work on contract obs

    • That’s very easy most big companies has pwc/Deloitte lawyer working to create these paperworks. Very easy to do. And seem like you got 0 % raide due to attitude problem lol.

I second Verizon. Ignore this guy. If you're good enough you'll get plenty of offers. The visa is points based so you just need to interview somewhere else and get a new job offer and your new org will handle the visa. Don't worry about it.

I know Google, Bloomberg, and a few HFTs will hire you as entry level Engineer if you're good enough. Junior level you'll have more options

UK has Amazon, Meta, Google, Citadel, Plaid, Bloomberg, Booking, Deliveroo, Yelp, OCI, Twitter, Visa, Expedia, plenty of HFTs.

That's more companies that most markets have bar US and India I guess. Pretty much makes UK the third biggest market. Not sure on what basis you say small market

Buddy, the world's changed a lot since you were there. Your point of view is 5 years old. There's a shitload of immigrants moving to multiple companies in London, especially more so since covid started. I myself am an immigrant

First of all it's not even called tier 2 anymore. It's called skilled worker visa. And plenty of people change jobs on it all the time.

Stop pretending your experience is reflective for everyone when even you know it isn't.

Nope. Just need to show that the candidate meets minimum wages and the sponsorship should be from a govt approved company

That is truly a comment straight out of a decade ago lol. Your world view is way too far behind at this point of time. If you genuinely believe there are good opportunities only in the US you're mistaken. Try to read up and interact with more people who are based in these locations I'd say.
