Am looking to rent new apartment starting April.
Easy. IF stocks keeps going down then RE will go down as well as people won’t be able to finance purchase through sale of stocks. My take is this will soon turn around and market will start growing again
How soon do you think
I’m not a magician but there were more deadly pandemics in the past and summer is coming which should make it harder for the virus to survive. I think within the next few months at most people will start to rationalize and market will get back to pre corrections levels
Rents are not affected, even if the market tumble causes a liquidity crisis that depresses housing demand and its prices subsequently. More probably, demand for rentals will rise since people won't be buying, and this will pressure rentals up.
Hopefully it trashes it.
Boomers will die off - one bedrooms will be $500/mo
Rate is low so housing will be hot.
Mortgage rates are very low so affordability should go up. Market should stay flat or have a slight seasonal bump for the next few months.
You need to live somewhere yoooo... why this matters & you are working for Apple.
