It looks like Lyft doesn’t have annual performance bonus or stock refresh at least two years. If so, people will get only base salary for two years other than signing bonus? Since I have mortgage payments and school tuitions for my three kids, it would be tough with base salary only. Does anyone know the details about stock refresh after 2 years?
Correct. Negotiate such that you’re happy with your base and 4yr grant.
U still get a good initial grant obviously
If you can't afford everything you need on a base salary only in our industry, I've got 95% of the country to introduce you to that manages it. Now, if you want to debate the merits of whether you're getting your market worth without refreshers, that's entirely different. But, please don't play the "I need to feed my family" card with our overpaid asses.
I see your point. But if I cannot make cache as much as I make now, I have to give up my house. It will break my wife’s heart. I know how much she loves our home. This is our first single home since we were married more than 15 years ago. We had very tough time due to the financial issues for a long time and finally got a house even though I had to pay big payments. Please don’t judge me because I try to keep things and people I love.
Plenty of jobs out there to satisfy your cravings
Lyft usually gives great base depending on ur level ofcourse
But Lyft stock is worth nothing until its ipo... if you join today and say it won’t ipo for 2 years, base + cash bonus is what you should expect right?
Not liquid isn’t the same as worthless. There is no cash bonus.
It’s not the same as inexpected value but at that moment it’s worth no real money, only some bargaining power.
