Pretty hard to find info about intuitive surgical.
How’s the culture, the interviews, comp etc?

  • I find comp not too bad for senior levels compared to FANG. I recently joined as an L5 after some negotiating from initially targeted L4.

    L5 TC: 80k signing + 175k base + 160k stock over 4 years + 20% bonus per year

    The stocks were a lot lower than I thought but seems like it was due to the comp restructuring

    • Since I do not work in IT at Intuitive, I do not understand the levels. I will assume L1 (New Grad, Bachelors) and L4 (Snr Engineer). Refreshers are 60% of your base at L4 if you meet expectations, 80% if you exceed expectations and "0-50%" for not meeting expectations. Now you can extrapolate the numbers for other levels for exceeding or does not meet expectations. The average is 25% of base for L1, 35% for L2, 45% for L3, 60% for L4, 100% for L5 and "150% - 300%" for L6 (Principal Engineer) for meeting expectations. Hope that helps

  • Oh the famous cruella is interested in us, what an honor!

    Culture seems to vary a lot , but it's probably closer to a traditional corporate than most of the famous tech names you can think of. Interviews aren't hard technically. Comp? If you are a TC chaser you probably don't want to come, but WLB can be good for many, so I guess pay per hour is quite good. But you know, WLB highly depends on team and projects and time of the year.
