When I interviewed, they just had meh sandwiches. They ever have real food?
Which office? There’s about 20 of them.
375 Beale in sf
They just changed vendors a few months ago, it's pretty much as good as it can get with catered food, not going to ever beat inhouse chefs. The previous catering company was horrible Also the menu is public if you're curious Twiliomenus.com
Ppl ask for job, study, TC, interview reviews... this guy asks for food... man, time to leave 🌍 🤣
Of all the companies I’ve interviewed at, Twilio had the worst food. So im trying to figure out if it was just a fluke and I interviewed on a bad day, or their food just sucks in general. I’d rate companies with best food in the following order: Dropbox, Cruise (they moved into Dropboxs old building and kept the amazing kitchen staff), google mv, Netflix, google Sunnyvale, Lyft, Uber, Nutanix, Atlassian, Oracle, Twilio, Amazon.
Your expectations must be low if you are even considering amazon’s bananas
It's pretty good! Two offices in SF. You'll need to walk between them to get food every day. They only provide free food at each office once every other business day. "Being frugal" is one of our indoctrination requirements.
What did they have for lunch today?
The food is much better than it used to be. Much. No one is my office this week, including myself, so IDK
Come on. You are picking your employer by the quality of their sandwiches? Do you know how entitled that makes you seem? Do you know how many people bust their ass in this world for $50k/year and never complain, ever? Wow pathetic.
I worked at companies with no perks all my life and I never complained. Now that I’m in Silicon Valley, top companies attract talent with perks such as amazing food. And the ones that don’t have such perks stick out like a sore thumb and have to go for the culture play to get engineers to work for them.
And that is exactly why after 7 years in Palo Alto I packed up and left. Too many entitled people living in a bubble who compare themselves to others living in the bubble and never really see how the normal American lives.
If a company doesn’t take the trouble of making candidate happy with good food ( a low hanging fruit for company) , it goes to show how much company is gonna care about employees
Do you too work in the Bay Area?
Lady Macbeth lol
I don't have time for shit food. You better offer good grub at the company, or be in a godly good food location. Mediocre food is worse than no food.
Back when I joined in 2018, Twilio food was some of the worst garbage I’d ever tasted. Then they changed vendors three months back. It is now very good. Still not on par with Lyft or Facebook. But good enough that I’m willing to walk between buildings for it
