Late switcher into tech now 4 years in. Hiring committee was split between L3 vs L4 (more L4), down leveled at VP review. Base: 130k Bonus: 15% RSU: 250 Sign-on: 50k This is after disclosing the offer from Linkedin, which they matched. Recruiter expressed a bit of room to close the deal. What shall I try as a counter since I don't have any more leverage?
Max base can go till 145k RSUs to 300k (maybe 350k if you have E4 competing from FB)
Base too low for L4 especially when 2020 is approaching. L4 base in early 2018 was already a few grants higher.
He said he got L3 offer
Sorry my bad. Then is a good offer especially the RSU part.
You got higher sign in compared to me.i got exact similar offer except 30k sign on
Very high for L3
Thanks, any tips to get some more peanuts for kicks?
You could consider asking for another interview to uplevel to L4. Pay might not go up much though.
Op did you send actual offer letter with your google recruiter
Absolutely ask them to beat your other offer. Next time, let them make first move too FYI.

Do people underestimate E6 role at meta?
Did you have to show your actual letter from LinkedIn? Also, location?
No, just email. Mountain View.
