Thanks for all the responses. I simply donβt want to have some personal matter exposed such as my credit card info if Iβm buying something online. Or other personal business on my gmail when I just want to check some mails really quick on the browser without needing to change my computer.
OP - every company has different monitoring methods for laptops. I'd be surprised if any big tech company cared what you do on the machine as long as it doesn't impact your work and is not illegal.
If you really want to dig into it, ask your security team what edr client they are using. That's probably the easiest way to find out unless you have some savvy about identifying the software yourself.
If it's a windows machine it's probably windows defender advanced threat protection. Other os have too many other methods to lost here.
