It's been 7 weeks at-least since my on-site interview and they said feedback is all good and they want to make an offer but HR has not allocated budget because it's approaching year-end and they are trying to work around it. They work with consultants to manage interviews and everytime I ask them or they abruptly call me and say a decision will be made by next week. This cycle has been happening for 6weeks now without an outcome. So frustrating that they haven't given me a closure. Not that I am very intent to work for them but even if I put it out of my mind these consultants would call about how it's an amazing company with great bonus structure and this is something unfortunate which will be sorted out within in a week. These guys definitely need to learn about accountability. TC : 150k #goldmansachs #goldman
Meh, GS will work you to the bone and force you to use your own personal computer to log into their computers. Take it if the money will make a substantial difference
It depends on the team and the manager. But the expectation for my team is 8-5 or 9-6. But can be very flexible
Learn to move on op
OP- I am a hiring manager here and know firsthand that at this point in the year, all positions typically get put on hold/regular offer processing resumes in Jan. Perhaps they have already made up the mind to hire you, just because of the end of year freezes, the offer is delayed. Ask to speak to your hiring manager who will give you a straight answer. If you can’t directly connect, just connect with him/her through LinkedIn and express your concern.
Such a relief! I am in the same boat as OP. But I did connect with my hiring manager , he asked me to wait for January for things to move.
Thanks for letting know. Although I feel they can communicate that more clearly.
It’s holiday month.. we just pretend to work
True
+1 guess I will hear something come January

Okay. For US it definitely takes long from. Verbal to official letter. Approaching year end may just add more to the already slow process. Its lot of approvals with banks
Maybe related to omicron and sh*t. Lots of uncertainty. But yeah, they should talk. Anyway OP, go with another option. Don’t obsess. It’s not personal.
Omicron was not a factor until a week ago.
Yeah next time the consultants call me with false promises I m gonna tell them it's over for me already.
