If you look at latest fed meetings they are righting it all. One reporter asked: if you tighten too much and employment rates are hurt, will you take it easy? Answer: strong economy is what warrants employment, we need to control inflation at the cost of employment to keep our economy strong.
If you don’t get it: they will keep fighting it until demands goes down and supply chain issues goes away because of that, causing inflation to easy. That means high chance of recession.
Wasn't this guy saying in the last couple years that inflation is okay as long as we meet the goal of maximum employment? Am I misunderstanding something or is this guy full of shit? No inflation, k there's inflation but it's transitory, k it's sticking around longer than we thought but it's only a little bit, k inflation is higher than we expected, etc.
