Happy New Year (Nowruz)

Happy new year to the 130 million people in 27 counties that celebrate the Nowruz new year.

Celebrated on the spring equinox (March 20 to 21) Nowruz is a fun excuse to party and visit family & friends.

Established 3000 years ago, Nowruz which literally means new day was celebrated by Iranian (the Persians) and the New Day tradition spread to be an integral part of many other cultures which they themselves evolved it beautifully according to their traditions.

Spread of Islam to Iran about 1400 ago years attempted to change and even delete the tradition of celebrating this pagan new year which revolves around family value (like Christmas). However Nowruz has survived.
