I am currently interviewing for backend engineer at Spotify and gave Spotify’s psychometric test today. I scored average (out of three—poor, average, above average) in all the tests, i.e, verbal, numeric, and abstract. Is this okay? What were your results like when you gave the tests?
Must be a total idiot. I hate to depress you but even sloth from the goonies scored higher. Turn in the towel man.
Why the hell, do you reply everywhere
Why don’t you?
There's a test now? Wtf?
LMFAO
What is this test? What kind of skills do they judge from this test?
You can check https://practicetests.cubiks.com/ or google psychometric tests. Basically they ask simple math and English questions and pattern matching.
Well Spotify is an average place. So maybe you’re alright.
Totally. Try not to above average. Spotify will be insecure and you'll be disappointed.
When did you interview (roughly) and in which country? These tests caused quite a bit of controversy internally and HR said they were only doing them for non tech roles. They may also be doing them for interns.
Where does Spotify have backend eng offices?
