I think I had Omicron, because I had flu symptoms for close to 2 weeks (a flu should not last that long).

But right now, in order to claim California's Supplement Sick Leave's second 5 days, I need to show that I test positive. ( https://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/COVID19resources/2022-COVID-19-SPSL-Poster.pdf ). But I cannot test positive any more using the government's free iHealth antigen test kit because if has been two weeks.

I am quite sure I had Omicron. What can I do to claim the second 5 days?

@Apple, just put three drops off any of the liquids directly and don’t use the buffer liquid that is packed with the test

@jandyGassy oh guess what, the kit I got from the free govt program is the iHealth anitgen test. These, they don't seem to react to water or coca-cola... oh well, I wonder if I have to go through the antibody blood test or the PCR test

My daughter tested positive for almost three months after Omricon. Are you sure you didn't just have a cold?

OP, you work at Apple, why are you trying to claim supplemental sick leave that is intended for lower income workers?

I think "antigen" can only test for currently whether you have it or not. The "antibody" or PCR test can test for "past" Omicron... I am not sure about PCR but antibody requires taking a drop of blood or something

let me add some info here... I talked to a person giving out the PCR test, the assistant for the doctor, and the main lab person in charge of all the Covid tests.

They said, yes PCR tests can sometimes detect positive within 90 days a person had the covid, but it is only small percentage. More often than not, it cannot show a positive. I read a webpage saying out of 230 cases that was actual covid in the past 90 days, only about 30 showed positive. So it CAN. But will it -- it is likely that it will not.

Also the person in charge of giving out the PCR tests, she told me she knew a guy who had Covid, and the he recovered, and then he took the antigen test and it showed him as positive. And then just to confirm he also took the PCR test, but to his surprise, the PCR test didn't show him as positive. So she said the tests are not perfect and it might be for reference only.

If you had omicron you may still test positive, just get a pcr test done. You can continue to test positive for upto 90 days.

  • In summary, you were sick but don’t know with what and you want to benefit a specific government program without qualifying, and you work at apple which probably already paid you for your sick days.

This has to be a troll.

anything that differ from the general opinion of the astute judges at Salesforce must be trolling.

I cannot use the government's Supplement Sick Days first and leave the Apple one for later? Or I cannot have used up the Apple one for a person I have to care for previously, and now I have to use the government one? I have to subject to the Salesforce supreme judge?
