Hi cool people, I am a college senior and actively looking for a job as I am graduating in May 2019. Its my longtime dream to work at Wallstreet but haven't even received an interview so far. I always imagine what it would be like to work at Nasdaq or NYSE or any top companies in the financial district. I did have a couple of interviews with Apple, google, Wayfair and so on. But, no luck so far. I applied to almost every hedge funds but never heard back but it might be because I go to a no-name university. Is anyone here willing to hire me? Or even refer me? I would really appreciate it guys. I would love to send you my resume if you want to take a look. Thank you!!!
Dm me i will refer you
Just did
I recognize that you’re a senior and everything I’m about to suggest is a wet blanket, but hearing it may save you time, as someone who knew a lot of people competing for roles in companies like Bloomberg and Goldman. Your resume for finance either needs to show highly notable prior experience, or needs to be introduced by someone internal, because almost nobody cold reads undergrad resumés. This referral generally needs to be for a specific role and by someone who can vouch for fit. Trying on Blind is unlikely to help. If you don’t have someone like that to refer you, you’ll need to show you’re already capable of doing the job. If you haven’t already landed an internship with a return offer, If your goal is financial modeling, you’ll likely need to show you’ve got skin in the game by doing it solo and showing positive returns over some time interval like 3-6 months. If your goal is financial application design, you’ll need to probably work at a startup in the space or get entrepreneurial and make your own. Best of luck OP.
Thanks, will keep that in mind!!!
I can refer
I recently got rejected from google and am told that I need to wait a year to apply again. Not sure if referral can help but thanks though!
Less than a year. Referral will be good for different role though if you’re interested in things such as WSE
Honestly new grad jobs are competitive. Even harder for no name state school people
That's what I figured. I applied to a couple of positions at BOA too but haven't heard back anything yet.
Boa does does not have very high standards compared to the other companies. However what I have noticed is that majority of new grads are returning intern because the offer is pretty competitive and it's really hard to get something lined up in a very short amount of time. There's a very good chance we are done in hiring for this graduating class last last semester.
DM me. I m hiring at Amazon
If 150 hard problems then you may have a good chance, otherwise, you are screwed
I rather be unemployed than to work at Walmart #sorry
Less than 5 hard questions. I have done maximum medium and some easy ones. Looks like I'm screwed.
