I’ve worked at Twitter for a while now.. started my career there. I’m so ready to leave. I recently switched teams, but honestly, that hasn’t helped a whole lot. It’s still mostly the same BS with a better w/l balance and I’m not burning out from overwork anymore.
I’ve become quite cynical in my views toward corporate software companies, and the people that run them. There’s obviously good people, but it’s mostly all politics and psychopaths… I feel like that’s the top of every industry ever though, so is there really a way to not constantly feel defeated by this shit?
Currently, I’m trying to join a startup to see that side of the industry, but just feeling down about job searching (which I’m currently doing). So much rejection and ghosting, even with some years of experience, and a big blue bird on my résumé.
Can anyone here offer a different viewpoint other than, “suck it up cause others have it worse”? I know that.. I’m just looking for a change in perspective.

Expect rapid growth, constant change, regular new team mates, and leadership, a actively shifting tech stack, and many leaders including the CEO acting as individual contributors.
Its a ride for sure, but not for everyone. I'm making the best of it but having regrets I didn't keep pushing faang.
But that can happen at any company.
