What do I need to do to first get an interview at a fintech and then to pass it. Assuming I am graduating in a week with bachelor in cs, trying to get job at Fintech in 6 months. But I went to a no name university in US.
First you should know the correct definition of the term “Fintech”.... Citadel and two sigma are not fintech
What's your experience like?
2 internships doing Backend and infra mostly. Dozens of project in the same. Research exp in OCR and compilers. I am one class short of a minor in maths too.
Why fun tech and not google?
I am already interviewing at Google. Also, fintech pays more afaik
Do they? Maybe at lower levels but at L6+ I’m skeptical
There are many 3rd party recruiting companies set up for new York and Chicago fintech hiring. Shelby Jennings, njw etc. Use LinkedIn. You'll be flooded with opportunities and most likely get into one easily if you're even mildly decent. The interview process is much easier than tech companies, and if you can answer bookish definitions well, you'll get the job.
Will their pay be comparable to that of Citadel or 2sigma? I want to become either a quant researcher or work in backend/infra.
Lol... my experience was that most good ones were more difficult interview processes than tech companies
