I had 2-3 bad days with fever and fatigue and sore throat but I get sore throat easily. I was pretty sure I had it. I was ok after 2-3 days but still I filled the form for verily project and got tested . Pretty simple. After 4-5 days I got the result that it was negative though I am not sure its 100 perc correct. Maybe I just recovered quickly. Now I might be an ad target for google but at least they are doing some good work. #covid-19 #coronavirus
Test has a 20-50% error rate.
Did you have severe cough?
Just fill the form for verily project. I had to add the symptoms of cough too in the form else they would auto reject you
Glad you're negative but I not a big fan of tampering with symptoms to get tested. Better save those tests for those that really need it.
Why is govt not providing more tests? In California around 60k tests are pending. And when I went there it was completely empty only one person ahead of me and there are people who didnโt had any cough but still had covid. I was doing pushups n I felt my chest full and short of breath. So stop condemning those stuff it will mk sense to you when it happens to you
What is the false negative rate of the test?
20-50%
I've seen estimates for false negatives anywhere between 3% and 50%. It seems to depend on severity of symptoms. I also had symptoms -- dry hacking cough, body aches -- for two weeks, then got tested, but got negative. My doctor still directed me to self quarantine because the accuracy drops off hard after the first two weeks and I was still symptomatic.
Sorry man. If I were you I would have hopped to test positive. At least youโll have peace in mind. We will all get this sooner or later.
Confusion
verily had a few false negatives
What did the second and 3rd test say?
Which county is this?
San Mateo
Is that a country? Why you making people google it? ๐
