I think I have a solution re: this Google thing that will make everyone happy
All you brain genius engineers who agree with the manifesto, the choice is clear: boycott Google. Don't send in that job app, don't sign the offer letter. Quit, and lead the vanguard of downtrodden men right out the door. Let the free market do its magic! If you're right Google will be dead within the year - starved of talent. Everyone wins, women and minorities get a more supportive work environment and you get to win the argument or something.

I stopped using Google services when they stopped supporting Windows. Specifically the moment they threw their users under the bus with the YouTube debacle, redirected Windows Phone users from google maps to google.com, and dropped activesync when it was the only protocol Windows Phone supported. It was then that I realized I wasn't their customer, just their product.
It's also why I will never work for their company. They don't give one fuck about their users, just about ads and abusing their monopolies to gain new monopolies. Eric Schmidt was right, they are the new Microsoft, of the 90's.
I love windows phone. You guys really fucked it up with app load time.
I prefer to keep collecting a paycheck, stock, and bonuses until my investments can provide a comfortable living.

No one cares enough to quit their job over this. Hell, imagine the conversation - "why did you quit google?" "I supported the diversity memo guy" "oh...."
The next suggestion will be to divide the country.
