Is there any chance to work for free somewhere part time or to help somebody with self projects? Maybe you know the place or somebody that need help?

    • Can you suggest some to OP? I think one hard thing newbies have with that is that it takes too long for them to understand oos projects and may not even be able to contribute much at that point. Plus they are still learning foundational stuff since they are newbies.

    I think you shouldn’t sell yourself short. Working on open source projects like others have suggested is a good idea, but I am not sure if you should be doing a bunch of unpaid project work for others. Also tbh, people willing to use free labor would probably not have very compelling projects in the first place; I’m guessing you’ll meet a lot of “idea” people who want your help making a website/app for free in exchange for equity.

    - If you can, open source projects
    - Practice interviewing
    - Keep learning relevant skills (dev, devops, cloud…)
    - Get a junior role and build experience
