I was just rejected for a role at Apple. Do you think I will get a new chance? Will they consider my applications? Do they heve cool down time? Will they ever contact me?

There are so many roles, unless you have a red flag for criminal offenses why would you never have a chance?

no cool down for different teams but Apple makes a big deal about referencing previous interview notes. Recruiters constantly ask if you've interviewed before. Failing phone screens don't matter but on-site interviews, regardless of how far back, stick with you. This can be good or bad depending on your scores.

  • Don't waste your life, Apple is an ODM company, they don't really need hardware guy because Apple is not a real hardware company.

    • Yes, Apple has NO real hardware engineer in California, and you know what? After someone stay at Apple Cupertino sometime, they become ODM expert, they can do NOTHING but only ODM support.

We can't all be as vertically integrated and talented as industry leaders like TDK.

I got rejected for a hardware role and I took the next two weeks to make a prototype of a concept I pitched to them that they thought wouldn’t work. I responded to their rejection email showing them a working prototype (which wasn’t perfect but that wasn’t my goal). They responded back a week later saying they wanted me to continue with the last round of interviews. If you really like the position, then show them you’re willing to put in the effort or at the very least ask them for feedback on what you need to develop / improve. Good luck!

  • If you ever hold an Apple device in your hand it’s gonna burst into flames just because you flunked the interview. Device remembers that you have failed an interview. Just beware and stay away from Apple. Maybe try this 🍎and you should be fine.
