Just received my signing bonus and paid off all of my debt (student loans, credit cards, revolving accounts, IOUs). I also pre-paid my rent a couple months for a little cushion. Feels so good.
TC: 480k. 160 base. 160 expected commissions. 160k in RSUs with tax buffer.
I contribute pre tax to investments and healthcare. My real take home is around 13k/month.
Rent, savings and avg expenses ~6k/month.
I went to a financial advisor because I grew up very poor and I have no idea what I’m doing.
I want to buy a house and build more long term investments. Advisor was very conservative and I’d love other perspectives since so many people here are crushing it.
What would YOU do now if you were debt free, with around 7k a month to invest?
