Hello Everyone, I am on H1b visa and have been interviewing outside to bump my salary. My company recently filed my PERM application and it will take another 6 months to get my I-140 approved. Is it worth waiting for I-140 ? I am also open to join startups but not all startups tell me upfront that they will start I-140 processing immediately. Only reason I want I-140 is so my spouse can start working on H4 EAD.
In what stage ur PERM process is at? Is I140 applied already and u r just waiting for approval? If so, convert to premium and get it in 2/3 weeks.
I once wasted my 1-2 yrs of time for this labor & i140. I repent now. But ur situation is diff. U want ur wife to start working. So wait for i140
wait for i-140, its worth, also apply in premium even if you have to pay for it, and then jump the ship.
Companies are steering away from immigration processes, I’d suggest you to stay put and keep the ball rolling.
Correct. Trump is making it more difficult. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/stuartanderson/2019/09/19/uscis-documents-reveal-the-sources-of-trump-h-1b-visa-restrictions/amp/

Depends on how much of the 6 years u have used up
I am in my first 3 years. Will need to apply for extension next year
Nothing wrong with moving if u move fast and to a company that will start processing right away. I know some startups do agree to it.
