Hi Everyone! I am in the process of choosing Tech Sales at IBM (1-2 years of summit training) or Salesforce Associate Solution Engineering (Success Grad) program. Any advice for a young professional choosing between 2 large tech companies in similar pre-sales roles? I have heard a lot of “mixed” things about IBM summit specifically, as well as in general but am still considering it. Any help is appreciated! #interview #career #it #salesengineer #ibm #salesforce
Salesforce..you wont regret it. Even with 1 year experience as an SE at Salesforce you'll be able to open a lot of doors
Salesforce has a better rep

I just came out of ibm summit. I think it depends on your goals. Run away for your own good if you want to actually learn and progress your career. Literally wasted 8 months of my life in terms of career. On the other hand, if you just want a fun experience, by all means go for it. It was some of the most fun I’ve ever had in a job. Tons of new grads and tbh majority frat guys sorority girls so they like to party and go out every time you travel which is a good time. You make a lot of friends if that’s your crowd and the dynamic is almost completely sales. But you get to chill with tones of new grads from all the non cs majors so def a different vibe. But on the other hand, you will cringe every time they say any tech buzzword But if you are driven in career terms at all, I highly recommend salesforce or anywhere else. Dm me if you wanna know more about summit.
Mind if I Dm you?
