Why does no one acknowledge the fact that IBM is third in the cloud business behind AWS and Azure. The media always says AWS Microsoft and Google are the 3 major cloud providers but that's wrong. Google did about 3 billion in cloud sales in 2017 while IBM did about 17 billion. Makes no sense to me.
16 billion?! Please hold your horses. That's yearly projected at current run rate. IBM would be a trillion dollars business or close if it were really making ~64b yearly in cloud revenue given market size and margins of profitability in this business.
Actually 17 billion in 2017 while Google did 3 billion. Idk what the margin is somewhere around 20% I think.
Lol op your an idiot!
Is it cheaper than azure, aws, gc, baba, oracle?
No its not.
Why is it popular then?
Lol
What am I missing? Everything I said is true check the reports if you don't believe me.
How ibm classifies cloud is a little mixed up.. didn’t they put their middleware (webshpere, iib, etc) in the cloud group? Think that was done to show more revenue. Bluemix is not making that type of revenue, and I’m not sure ibm knows what a cloud is.. just look at bluemix
Really
Ibm is funny. Only ibm people think this. Ibm is dead
I don't understand. What I said is facts.
Because they are perceived as being a dinasaur. They need a rebranding face lift. But, you're right about the market share stack ranking.
We have a serious branding issue.
