https://www.cnbc.com/2019/04/03/ibm-ai-can-predict-with-95-percent-accuracy-which-employees-will-quit.html what the fuck ? Explains their complete lack of a promotional career path
Not that impressive if they’re monitoring company IMs for keywords. Interested to see how this can translate into other businesses.
Or only promotes folks they think will stick around
Does anyone want to work for IBM?
I was going to accept there offer before Wayfair, missed it by a day, and it was gone. Don’t plan on applying again. Left a bad taste in my mouth.
They might have some alright research roles in NY. Some quantum stuff, numerical linear algebra etc.
So I assume the secret is they monitor IM and phone. They also look for suspicious random 1-2 days off with little notice... Although shit if IMing that I am interviewing leads to retention bonuses...
Or web traffic to job sites. Or leetcode. Or LinkedIn
I'm sure it'll be implemented in every company in less than 5 years. It's 1984.
95% is not high. They could completely miss attrition in good teams or get false positives. They cut 30% HR and the remaining 70% are getting higher pay and are higher quality. AI could just be a red herring here. There's no way any AI could guess my skills based on the assignments and communication that I'm engaged in.
So folks, keep looking up Glassdoor and updating LinkedIn profile to get flagged for getting bonus 😏
