Are we over valuing the tech that doesnt really add much value to most people’s life? companies like facebook doesnt even produce anything tangible but are valued at half a trillion, seems to me the rich of the west have figured out a way to keep pumping their wealth by fake innovations, which is supported by pseudo intellectuals. 😀 i am sure we dont need a replacement, 10yrs ago people lived better lives than they do today because of it. This shitty company fueled materialism. I would be happy to see people not knowing all the materialistic shit rich can afford by exploiting the poor. This shit needed to be curbed yesterday.
People tend to romanticize the past, I highly doubt people’s lives were better 10 years ago compared to today. There were plenty of ways normal people were seeing materialistic shit rich people were buying. Why don’t we get rid of the internet while we are it. I’m sure the people in the 1960s were pretty happy too.
It makes my life better. Helps me connect with people in my community and friends from around the world i wouldn't otherwise.
