If you had plans of founding a startup tech company, but had no work experience, what career path would you aim at to build a founder's skillset? Would it be sales? Project Management? And why?
OP read the Founders Dilemma, rarely does the founder remain CEO until exit
Depends on educational background and type of company you’re looking to build. A lot of the founders I interact with have backgrounds in investment banking, consulting, or operational at another start up. Also, some start businesses without any prior experience. It’s not necessary!
Good point. I'm concerned about not being taken seriously w/ no experience or ultimately being outed from my own company. So before taking the dive I'd like to get some titles/skills under my belt
