If you can argue/defend your political position, no need to stay quiet.
That is simply not true. People treat political disagreements like death threats; it's life destroying to admit you voted for Trump in ear shot of most politically left aligned.
In some ways it is a death threat. At the least Trump (and the GOP) is a threat considering their religious and taxing practices. Because of them I am buying a house in Canada, just in case.
Stay in the closet.
do not say anything. I am also surprised to see how people are not more open minded. I am not Republican or Democrat. I just hate both parties equally and disagree with the majority of my colleagues on this topic.

so you believe the plot that all the world scientists are out to hurt fossil fuel companies 😂 . yeah keep your stupid views to yourself
This comment is a prime example of why op should not discuss his political views openly. The utter disrespect of freedom of speech that is demonstrated here creates an extremely hostile environment for open discussions. "I do not agree with what you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it."
That isn't disrespecting freedom of speech......
More like a closet dumb idiot. Don't believe in science... Don't believe in healthcare being affordable not only for the rich... Believe in giving tax breaks for the rich.
I wasn’t aware that one has to not believe in science to give the finger to the globalist Paris accord. I’m assuming that’s what you meant here. Wasn’t aware that Obamacare was affordable, the count of insured Americans is dropping back to old levels and it’s still in effect. Wasn’t aware that tax breaks are idiocy. You’ve got to realize that the Dems are now the party of the rich. Bernie tried to fix that and failed. Actual reasons to criticize Trump are his Syria bombing and his growing inability to whip the swampy GOP into place. He was elected to give a strong middle finger to the establishment and that’s what he’s not doing well. I have some lingering faith that good work is being done behind the media fog. His Cabinet is solid and I hope they shove as much deregulation through as possible before the establishment grinds them to a complete halt. The downside of all this is that the Dems are going to run a big government swamp candidate in 2020 and win... Trump is the establishment’s 9/11 and the opposite reaction will be cruel and permanent.
Well Arf just proved your point OP. Any other questions?
I lived in Georgia for years and always kept my mouth shut about politics and religion, it'd have just gotten my car keyed. Do what you need to do but not alienating co-workers is usually a good policy.
Just look at some of the replies from lefties and you will clearly know why.
What? give the proverbial other cheek? no thank you. not a masochist. if after all that's going on you still support Trump that means you really don't have any ethics or backbone. it's not about being Republican. I'm conservative in many ways, and more of a Democrat in others, i have a broader world vision that stems from thinking with my own brain and not taking in doctrines at face value. btw, on the aca (not freakin Obamacare) it needs fixing in several ways, but to claim it's going back to old uninsured numbers because it's failing is just dishonest and demagogic. just listen to people. now, for a real conversation, let's talk about how to fix it (even rename the thing for all i care) and push back on insurance companies purposely driving it to the ground under false pretenses.
lmao, ikr. It's pure cancer.
I'm a firm believer in the separation of work and politics.
Living in Seattle and working at Amazon must be painful for you. With all the immigrants in the city and at the company. Does that bother you? Also, republican policy aside, collusion with Russia to win election is ok with you?
Do you support Trump just cause you're republican, or do you genuinely like him?
Great question. I adamantly opposed Trump during the GOP primary buy gladly voted for him in the general. I have many issues with him, but I'm happy with his cabinet, enforcement of immigration law, travel ban, unapologetic defense of Western values, withdrawing from Paris agreement, executive orders on deregulations, Gorsuch.
^^ wow. SMH. That's how he won I guess. Congrats to you.
