I am perfectly tolerant of other people at work, no matter their circumstances, political leanings etc. but I know that I'd be a dead-man-walking if my own leanings were to become public. I'm looking for recommendations for companies where there is either more tolerance for the full political spectrum, or politics is kept fully out of work. In my current company it's not uncommon for people to openly identify as on the left, but the other way is never attempted as it's clearly not tolerated. I honestly feel the Republicans in tech are experiencing the same marginalization/ostracism similar to what gays had to endure in the past - in the sense that one could lose their livelihood based on membership in the marginalized group. Are there companies out there that recognize this lack of diversity on the political spectrum? I don't wish this thread to devolve into a political battle regarding which political position is defensible or acceptable. If you can't accept what ~50% of this country prefers, you are out of touch and I have no insights to gain from you. Edit: removed language that in hindsight was too exaggerated of the consequences of outing yourself as a Trump supporter based on feedback in the thread.
Move to Middle America?
The problem is that this industry is full of intelligent people, some Democrats, some Republicans, but none of them Trump supporters, because that makes you an idiot.
Aw... poor persecuted white boy. Go work at Walmart. They are your people now.
Odd, I know more millionaire and billionaire liberals than I do of the type you mention.
Is it stupid? There’s a pretty obvious correlation between education level and knowing that electing trump was a bad fucking idea. Is there not a similar correlation between education and employment? Therefore we can reasonably conclude that since both Walmart employees and trump supporters are dumb, then Walmart is a great place to work for a trump supporter?
“Unmolested”? Really?
Are you brain dead?
You call it Blind.
You can move to Russia?
Are you retarded? Trump has denounced white supremacy groups and violence multiple times. Here's the thing about liberals. You guys have accused every Republican President and nominee as racist, and eventually the word loses meaning.
Here's a collection of examples: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/every-moment-donald-trumps-long-complicated-history-race
You do realize Trump lost the popular vote right?
Yes, how is that relevant?
Then surely your last sentence is based upon a false premise?
