I’ve been lurking for a few days. Just posted my first few comments today. I’d love to get a few sentences from people about who they are & what this platform is good for. Age / City / job & what you find the most helpful about Blind. Edit: $550k TC
25 / MTV / SWE I like how everyone here is atleast semi-rich so we can talk about our salaries/decisions in a calm educated manner. Try going into a personal finance forum and telling them you earn 500k/yr and ask about rental housing. You'll get so many trolls.
Begging random people for referrals
Have definitely noticed this.
Blind is used mostly for people to b*tch, complain and lie about their TC
That is a hell lot of TC. Director at Faang ?
This is more on par with E6 (or E5 with refreshers). Directors will make more than double. levels.fyi
No. I’m in consulting.
What kind of consulting? And what do u do?
Principal at a management consulting firm. Most of my work is BD & project delivery for FinTech & tech
I understand most of those words you used in the comment. But not when put together like that, then I don't understand what them mean.
How do you feel about paying tax with that TC?
It’s part of the course. Definitely happier not being in CA
If not CA, where?
Welcome to Blind @Slay2020 😄
It's for tech people to waste time and blow off steam.
I like that Blind is full of other engineers and I'm always learning more about various parts of the community. Sometimes I learn about other fields too. At first I was brought here to help learn about a company I got an offer for though. Mostly culture or other things I can't just ask the recruiter. I'm a SWE on the east coast.
