Immigration status on resume/LinkedIn

Should I advertise my immigration status on my resume and/or online profile? I have a green card. I'm worried that some employers may see my work history abroad and assume that they will have to handle a bunch of immigration related stuff.

If the employer don’t want to handle then job criteria will have that info. I won’t add that to my profile. Recruiters are not that lazy, they surely take a chance reaching out to the candidate and clarify these things. Also you always have the option to reach out to employer/recruiter there of course you can mention that.

You are worrying too much. Looks like you haven't changed jobs for a long time. To answer your question, no it doesn't matter

I was also wondering whether to change my name to a nickname or something... heard this helps on resume

Don’t.

Not required. Recruiter always ask visa status.

Usually they only ask if you have work authorization.

Say “US Permanent Resident” on your resume. This make it clear that you don’t need sponsorship. When you become a US citizen, make it say “US Citizen”. I wouldn’t bother putting it on LinkedIn.
