Considering UF is switching offices, they've been going on a massive hiring binge. I have an interview coming up and would like to know how it is working inbound support in UF, if the position is too disposable, how you like your job, etc!
I don’t know personally about inbound support but UF as a whole seems like a solid play since it hasn’t experienced major lay offs yet.
True 👆 They are just hiring SO many people that I worry about just getting hired as a number and being more or less disposable. Prove your worth amirite?
That’s not the way to think about it liBH81. We are hiring because we have that much important work.
Where are UF's offices?
It’s basically a fancy call center in Inbound. The tools provided are not the best, there are bugs all the time and metrics are still expected to be met even when tools are broken. As an inbound agent you’re literally going to be listening to drivers complain about how the account managers/coordinators never call them. Your job will be to escalate their issues to the AM team and basically every time they call back all you can say is you’re waiting on an update from the AM team. I have spoken to AM’s who have told me they don’t speak to drivers unless they absolutely have to, and even then it rarely happens. I don’t know what their metrics are, ops team, but I have walked on those floors and seen them listening to music, playing games, while you walk on the inbound floor and it’s a bunch of robots. They keep track of your activity all day, meaning you go in the bathroom for too long, the lead will have a discussion with you, they see your cell phone out at all, that’s a discussion.
I will say, It’s an easy way to get into Uber, you stick through it for six months, don’t complain, do your job, and you can apply for other roles.
Scared me bro. Thought some truck is coming in.
See, I'm already a natural at notifying for incoming shipments.
