Infrastructure has oncall duty while I don't see any deadline/stressful sort of thing for feature development role. What does blind community think of this?
Avoid infrastructure like the plague. Product all the way.
I've built enough fucking carts and review features for one career. I'd rather let someone else write the business logic for displaying some badge on top of the stable scalable platform abstractions I hand them. But others here have a point. Every time their app shits itself the infrastructure is usually guilty until proven innocent.
Is distributed systems usually infra? Isn’t that highly in demand and well compensated these days?

Infrastructure sucks unless you enjoy being on call at midnight.
